About

A national Surfing Championship title back in the early 1990´s marked the path of this chilean photographer and his devotion to the sea. Later on, with his surfing skills not being enough to satisfy his always hungry spirit, he atended photography school to learn the basics of what would later become his most precious pasion and career.
A natural talent was always behind a inquicitive search for the next level, talking him and a group of friends to found the most influencial and serious surfing magazine in Chile: Marejada. Along with surfer mates and a group of graphic professionals they explored the chilean coast , talking the local surfing to a whole other level and putting Chile on the map for the first time as a Big Wave Riders Country.
Many years he devoted his carrer exclusively to surfing and the magazine, making a huge progress on water shots and leading him to publish in the most important surfing magazines in the world and lead him to travel with numerous Latin American and International riders.
Along with this came important clients that saw in Alfredo not only a talent for action shots, but also documenting the lifestyle around the Sports. By that time he challenged himself to take his talent inland to document the finest chilean extreme athletes in Skateboarding, Mountainbike, Motocross, Snowboarding and many other sports leading him to be reknowned in the country for his skills and expanded his frontiers to work now with for example Red Bull´s finest athletes.
Alfredo now shares his time between airports, the big cities and documenting important sports events while back at his home and family on the beach he is going for the next step: Organizing photography shows and events, curating for the young photographers and being the drive as much as he can of the national action sports and image scene.
Not only a natural talent but a hard working, meticulous and rigourous professional are the most sincere words I would use to describe this fellow colleague who has overcome life´s most difficult challenges.
